The cream helps prevent sepsis in burn patients, reduce wound contamination, and promotes faster and safer healing. Indications: Second- and third-degree burns Superficial wounds and skin infections Prevention of infection in skin grafts Infected eczema or dermatitis (as directed by a physician) Mechanism of Action: Silver Sulphadiazine combines silver ions with sulfonamide action: Silver ions: Disrupt bacterial cell membranes and proteins, leading to bacterial death. Sulphadiazine: Inhibits bacterial folic acid synthesis, preventing replication. This dual mechanism provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial coverage for effective infection control.
