Product Overview: Xylometazoline Nasal Drops is a topical decongestant used to relieve nasal congestion caused by common cold, sinusitis, hay fever, or allergic rhinitis. It works by constricting blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and allowing easier breathing. Indications: Nasal congestion due to common cold or sinusitis Allergic rhinitis and hay fever Post-nasal surgery congestion Temporary relief of blocked nasal passages Mechanism of Action: Xylometazoline is a selective alpha-adrenergic agonist. It stimulates alpha receptors in the nasal mucosa, causing vasoconstriction and reducing blood flow to the nasal passages. This decreases swelling, mucus production, and congestion, providing rapid relief. Dosage & Administration: Instill 1–2 drops in each nostril 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a physician.
