By integrating A-scan measurement with B-scan visualisation, it supports cataract-surgery planning, intraocular lens power calculation and assessment of posterior-segment structures.

The A-scan function measures essential ocular parameters such as axial length, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness and vitreous-body length. These measurements assist clinicians in calculating IOL power using established formulas, including SRK-II, SRK-T, Binkhorst, Holladay, Hoffer-Q and Haigis.

Its B-scan function generates two-dimensional cross-sectional images of the eye and orbit. Real-time dynamic scanning helps ophthalmologists examine the retina, vitreous and optic nerve while assessing the position, dimensions and relationship of suspected lesions, tumours or intraocular foreign bodies.
